Today we are starting our tour to and through Scandinavia.

We will start in the evening in Landshut and head north on A7. We meaning my old friend Hans and his dog Basti with an RV and myself with my Bulli.

First stop at a wonderful lake near Göttingen:

DAY 2

Starting from the wonderful lake we stopped in Göttingen to visit a relative of Hans. After having an awesome breakfast and a lot of fun with Wolfgang we continued our trip via Hamburg to SPO – Sankt Peter-Ording. First thing: „Krabbenfleisch-Brötchen“ – unbelievable delicious 🤤.

DAY 3 – HUSUM & COPENHAGEN

Today we left SPO and went to Husum, a nice little village. We went to the harbor and after some sightseeing we had a wonderful lunch.

After that we headed towards Copenhagen.

 

DAY 4 – COPENHAGEN

Heavy rain in the morning… so we didn’t really rush into that day. The rain stopped around 11 and we went downtown. What a wonderful charming city 😍. As we started late we found ourselves in a restaurant real quick – having an awesome lunch.
After lunch we continued exploring the city and went to the „sleeping mermaid“, one of the symbols of Copenhagen. While we went there the rain started again and turned into heavy nonstop rain 🙁

DAY 5 – FROM COPENHAGEN (DK) TO MALMÖ (S) TO SPONVIKA (N)

Driving day!

Arriving in Norway we exited the highway at the first exit to end up in a beautiful little village at a fjord with awesome food and great people. We immediately got an invitation from some nice people that live here to come to there house – what a great hospitality!!

DAY 6 – SPONVIKA

After meeting Torre and his wonderful wife Carolina Torre picked us up in the morning and we started with a hike to explore the little Island close to our parking area. What a wonderful place with so many awesome lookouts. In the afternoon we took our boat to paddle to their house where we spend a wonderful afternoon and evening – thank you so much for that!!

Day 7 – TRAVELDAY AGAIN

Today we started in Sponvika towards Kritiansand. We decided to take the ferry across the fjord to avoid the long detour driving along the coast. In a nice small village (Åsgårdstrand) we stopped for a coffee and a sandwich – wow, Norway is unbelievable expensive…

In the evening we reached the camping Kristiansand close to the harbor. Nothing special but we needed to refill water and gas and had to get rid of full greywater tanks.



Day 8 – BJERKREIM

Today we travelled towards Stawanger to see Preikestolen – the plateau in the mountains, 600m above the fjord. In the afternoon we stopped at a beautiful lake and decided to stay there. When you see the pictures you will know why… 🙂


Day 9 – STAVANGER & on the way to PREIKESTOLEN

After arriving in Stavanger we went to the harbor area which is very beautiful and has a lot of shops and restaurants.

Day 10 – PREIKESTOLEN

Today we reach Preikestolen – one of the most famous places in Norway. It means „preachers chair“ and is a stone plateau 600 m above the Fjord. After a two hours uphill hike we get to the plateau. What an amazing place – unbelievable!

Day 11 – BERGEN

After that wonderful night in the romantic harbor we are going to Bergen, a beautiful charming city at the sea.

End of a great day in an awesome city – highly recommend ❤️

Day 12 – JOSTEDALSBREEN

Today we start the journey to Throndheim. As this is a long trip with a lot of bridges, tunnels and ferries we will need two days to get there. We decide to have a break near to a wonderful river and find out that the color comes from the glaciers. As we are just an hour away from the biggest glacier of the european continent (app. 480 square kilometer and a thickness of 500m we want at least to have a look at it. After that impressive deviation we continue our trip.

Day 13 – TRONDHEIM

Today we reach Trondheim and end our trip right in front of the big cathedral – unfortunately already closed but we get a nice impression from the outside. In the evening we find a great restaurant at the harbor called TROLL. Awesome food and trying whale for the first time is an experience: so delicious, wow.

Day 14 – TRONDHEIM

Today we explore Trondheim a little more as this is a wonderful charming city. We go to the cathedral, downtown area, harbor and back to the restaurant TROLL to try Reinsdyr.

Day 15 – Trip to SPONVIKA

As we someday have to get back home we start from Trondheim towards the South today. We want to reach Sponvika today if possible and have dinner at this awesome little restaurant at the harbor again.

back – After 650 km and a 8,5 hours drive

Day 16 – GOTEBORG

Starting from Sponvika (N) we stop in Goteborg (S) today. It’s a pretty big city compared to what we saw so far. We enjoy the Savoir-vivre 🙂

Day 17 – KOPENHAGEN – Southbeach 🙂

Today we leave Göteborg and go to Copenhagen. We pass the city and find a wonderful beach to stay. The pictures say more than words.
